About WYO Right to Read
WYO Right to Read is a Wyoming-based nonprofit organization dedicated to ensuring that every child has access to evidence-based reading instruction grounded in the science of reading. The organization advocates for early screening, structured literacy, and comprehensive teacher training so that all students — including those with dyslexia — can learn to read and reach their full potential.
The WYO Right to Read website features a Library of Resources offering tools, guides, and materials to help parents understand dyslexia and effectively advocate for their children. Through community outreach, education, and legislative advocacy, WYO Right to Read is working to make literacy a fundamental right for every Wyoming student.

Kari Roden, the founder of Bloom Literacy Solutions and is a passionate advocate for dyslexia awareness and literacy rights. Her background as a former elementary teacher and a Master’s in Literacy, Kari experienced a profound journey when her daughter was diagnosed with dyslexia in 2016. Despite her expertise in literacy, she realized she had no idea what dyslexia was. Her journey led her to become a Wilson Dyslexia Therapist and a Structured Literacy/Dyslexia Specialist. She serves on the board of the Rocky Mountain Branch of the International Dyslexia Association. Her dedication led to cofounding WyLit and establishing Bloom Literacy Solutions. Kari will perform the Test of Dyslexia, which is a standardized normed assessment that includes all measurements of phonological awareness, vocabulary, reasoning skills, word recognition, phonics knowledge, reading fluency and comprehension efficiency. The families will receive a comprehensive report that details the strengths and weakness and how they relate to reading proficiency, detailed intervention and accommodations to match the child individual needs. This report will also be provided to the IEP team and is a key element in setting the appropriate goals.
